About these terms
These terms are a contract between you and [legal entity name], [registered address], company number [number] ("we", "us"). They apply when you use BH Case Manager. You must be 18 or over and use the service for your own personal affairs (or to help someone else with theirs, with their agreement).
What we provide
An online case file for your complaints and disputes with businesses. We provide software to organise your own records. We don't give legal advice, we don't act for you, and we don't contact businesses on your behalf. If you need advice, contact Citizens Advice, an ombudsman, or a solicitor.
Your account
Keep your password safe and use two-step verification. You're responsible for what happens under your account. In a shared workspace, the owner decides who can see and edit its cases, and is responsible for the people they invite.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you add. You give us permission to store, copy and process it only to provide the service to you and to the people you share it with. You confirm you're entitled to add it and that it doesn't break the law or anyone's rights. Don't upload material you don't need for your dispute, especially sensitive information about other people.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to harass anyone, store unlawful material, upload malware, try to access other people's data, overload or probe our systems, or resell the service. We may suspend accounts that do, after warning you where it's safe and reasonable to.
Plans, payment and trials
The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe; prices include VAT where it applies. Your first paid plan starts with a [14]-day free trial; we'll remind you before it ends and you won't be charged if you cancel before then. If a payment fails we'll ask you to update your card; if it isn't fixed, your account moves to the Free plan. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of a price change, and you can cancel before it applies.
Cancelling
Cooling-off period. You can cancel a paid plan within 14 days of the paid subscription starting (after any free trial) and get a full refund. Cancel in Plan and billing, or email us.
After that, you can cancel at any time, and your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund part periods, except where the law requires it.
When a plan ends your cases stay on the Free plan. If you're over its storage allowance, you can still view, download and delete things, but you can't add documents until you make room.
Our responsibilities
We'll provide the service with reasonable care and skill, as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires. If it isn't, tell us and we'll try to fix it; if we can't, you may be entitled to a price reduction. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.
We aim for the service to be available all the time but can't promise it will never be interrupted. We keep backups, but you should download your own copy of anything important, particularly evidence you might need for an ombudsman or court.
We're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, for business losses, or for the outcome of your disputes. We don't exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to exclude.
Ending the service
You can delete your account at any time. We can end these terms with 60 days' notice, and we'll give you time to download your data. We can suspend or end your account straight away if you seriously break these terms.
Changes
We'll tell you by email at least 30 days before a change that affects you materially. If you don't agree, you can cancel before it applies.
Complaints and law
Contact [support@example.com] or use Help in your account. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring claims in your local courts.
